This Month's Featured Artist: Brutal Attack

One doesn't have to ponder long as to why this band is our featured artist of the month, in fact I am sure some people would argue that they should be the featured artist every month, Ken McLellan and Brutal attack have managed to create a legacy to last the ages. In which we wish to acknowledge with our small tribute as the Uprise Direct featured artist.

With over a quarter century of music, Ken has been able to carry a torch and bring light to so many hearts, regardless of age or location. With over 20 separate releases and countless projects Ken has done a great job in continuing to provide his fans with top notch material. In fact he currently boasts yet another recent addition to the bands' long discography; "The Real Deal," released earlier this year.

So in ending, thank you for everything.

Brutal Attack, One Family, Total War

In two weeks Hatecore records is set to release the brand new album of legendary Brutal Attack, titled "The Real Deal."

A sample track from the upcoming release titled "Outlaw" is available HERE. Having listened to the available sample and viewing the cover art (left) it sounds like Ken has taken this work in a more upbeat direction, leaning toward rockabilly /southern rock. I anticipate hearing the full album after it's release...

The albums "One Family" parts 1 & 2 originally released by OPOS records, are being released on vinyl. The CDs which featured Moshpit, Attack, Non Divine, Forbidden, R. Purity & Total War, are now being combined onto one joint LP. SFH records are pressing a limited run of 500 albums.

The drummer of Total War had announced the creation of a hardcore styled side project last year titled Sudden Threat. Sudden threat is currently in the studio writing and recording for their first release, coming soon.

The vocalist from Total War is currently filling in on bass for Empire Falls, who are set record their second release with Final Stand records this year.

TMF have plan to release their latest album "Thug Anthems" on limted vinyl with 'Step 1' in the U.K Expect production around April.

Yellow:165
Green:272

Other TMF news the split CD with The Gits from Poland is still in progress, the band is just waiting about who will release it, on which label and when. The release will be called 'An Army Of Tattooed Gits'.

Outclass is another one of TMF side projects. "Second To None" was recorded back in 2006 and just released by 'Barracuda Records' in Italy. It is only a 4 track mini CD, but gives you a taste of what is to come when they record a full length in 2009.

The Garrison release was a split originally done by Ken McLellan (Brutal Attack) & Fortress. When Brutal Attack, feating Jim of Squadron helping Ken McLellan, played a gig in Australia in 1996, the Garrison CD was recorded with their Australian hosts.
Recently a second Garrison project was released featuring Kill Baby Kill, Ravenous & Death's Head.
Now both albums are available on one limited pressing, 550 available only.
